Normally we would not add a hotel to the list of attractions in a city, but in Belfast things are different. The Europa Hotel in Belfast is a special place to visit in Belfast, because it is not only a four star hotel, but it is known to the “most bombed hotel in Europe and in the world.” During “The Troubles,” the name of the period from late 1960s until the Good Friday agreement in 1998, the hotel was bombed 28 times. The hotel has hosted presidents, celebrities and prime ministers several times, and next time you visit Belfast, you can stay there as well.
The hotel opened in 1971, blown up by IRA in 1993 and reopened in 1994.
