Northern Ireland qualified for the Euro 2016!

Northern Ireland Euro 2016Few people actually did believe that this would become a reality, but after starting the qualification to the Euro 2016 with a 2-1 victory in Budapest, and following it up with a 2-0 victory against Faroe Islands and then a 2-0 victory against Greece (in Greece), people suddenly started to believe that it could be possible.

Following these three victories they lost 2-0 against Romania, but the fighters soon got back on their feet again and won 2-0 against Finland, played 0-0 against Romania at home, won 3-1 against Faroe Islands (away) and then played 1-1 against Hungary at home (scoring a goal in the 93rd minute). Then at the last days of the Euro 2016 they first won 3-0 against Greece at home and then with nothing at stake at all they played 1-1 against Finland in the last match.

After this magical qualification Northern Ireland won their group in front of Romania and Finland and the biggest of all the heroes is of course Kyle Lafferty who scored 7 goals in 9 matches (who normally play his matches for Norwich in the Premier League).

Now all we have to do is to look forward to the European Champions in France next summer, and if you should come to Belfast and Northern Ireland before then, do not forget to read about the famous and beautiful attractions in the city here in our Belfast Guide. For more information about the Euro 2016, visit the following article in the IP Address Guide.

When and against which teams Northern Ireland will play will be discovered on December 12th, because that is when the groups will be drawn in Paris. Northern Ireland can be found in pot 4, making the only thing sure that Norther Ireland will not play against Turkey, Iceland, Wales, Albania and Ireland. Maybe that is a positive thing that Nothern Ireland will not be able to play against Ireland and Wales!

Go Norther Ireland! We are cheering for you!

Northern Ireland vs Hungary

On September 7th it is time for a crazy important match for Northern Ireland as they will face Hungary, their biggest opponent together with Romania currently fighting for the first, second and the third place in group F. The first two spots will give them a place in the Euro 2016, while the third place will most likely give them another match against another tough opponent.

Northern Ireland vs Hungary

Before the match on September 7th Hungary will play against Romania in Budapest and Northern Ireland will visit the Faroe Islands to play on September 4th. For both teams these are lethal matches, and it might happen that both Hungary and Northern Ireland will come to this match on September 7th without any points from their previous match, or it might happen that both teams come with three points. No matter how they arrive to this match, they will fight like crazy for a win in this match and Hungary will want to revenge their 2-1 loss against Northern Ireland in Budapest.

The match will be played at Windsor Park starting at 20.45. If you can not be there, you can still watch the match online on Hungarian television, but for this to work you will need a Hungarian IP address. More about how you can watch this online can be found at ipaddressguide.org.

Oh, and we almost forgot – this match can also be watched online on Sky Sports, if you prefer English speaking commentators. Find out more on how you can watch Sky Sports online from all across the world here.
