Late night art tours in Belfast

The capital of North-Ireland, the wonderful Belfast offers several program opportunities to tourists, it could be day or night. There are several museums and gallery in Belfast which invite people to an exciting cultural program on the first Thursday of every month. You can choose the program in walking or bus version too. The program starts on 6.30 PM until 9 PM, so you won’t be tired next day. The walking late night art tours’ meeting point is at the Exposed Gallery at 6.30 PM, and the end is at The Black Box at 8.30 PM. The bus tour starts at The Naughton Gallery at Queens University at 6.30 PM and ends at the Black Box around 9 PM. The bus tour isn’t free, but it’s a more convenient way of the tour, because you have an ordered bus what drive you from A to B. For the bus trip you can buy tickets in person in the Belfast Welcome Centre. The tours’ extra service in addition to the exciting night time is, visitors can hear different artists’ speeches.

Andy Warhol, the king of the pop-art culture is a worldwide known figure. His famous works appear on bags and t-shirts nowadays too, so those people know these pictures too, who aren’t interested in this weird, blond gentleman’s art.

Andy Warhol was born in 1928. He was one of the most popular pop-artist. He started as an advert drawer, and after that he became famous because of his paintings and avant-garde films. However there were several gossips around his sexuality, but he was openly homosexual. His most famous works for example the paintings about the Campbell soup cans and Marilyn Monroe’s portraits. He was a weird man, a real artist, whose pictures spellbind everybody nowadays too.

In Belfast, in the popular MAC, or Metropolitan Art Centre there is a fantastic exhibition from Andy Warhol’s works between 8 February 2013 and 28 April 2013. On the exhibitions people can see Warhol’s most popular films and pictures.

Peter Gene Hernandez was born in the capital of Hawaii, Honolulu in 1985. He grew up in musician family, so it isn’t a surprise; music is very important part of his life. He learned to play on several instruments, for example guitar, drums, bass guitar, keyboards and harmonica, but the audience mostly knows him as a singer. His first album, the Doo-Wops & Hooligans released in 2010. The most successful track on the album, the Just The Way You Are deserved a Grammy Award on 2011 in the best man pop singer category. His newest album, the Unorthodox Jukebox released in December 2012 and it became successful immediately.

Because of his new album, Bruno Mars will go around the world in 2013 to show the fruit of his newest work to his fans in live too. One station of this monumental tour will be the capital of the wonderful Northern Ireland, Belfast. Bruno Mars will concert here on 2 October 2013 in The Odyssey Stadium.

Boyzone concert in Belfast november 2013

Most boy bands from the 90s have ended their time together. But the Irish group Boyzone is still going strong and in November you can get to see and hear them live in Belfast.

Boyzone concert in BelfastThe band includes five guys and it formed in 1993. The members were Keith Duffy, Stephen Gately, Mikex, Graham, Ronan Keating and Shane Lynch. They broke up for a little time in 2000, but they reunited in 2008. Unfortunately there was a terrible tragedy a little after the restart. Stephen Gately died in 2009. But boys haven’t given up, they continue the band today too, and they are very successful, especially in the island country.

They wrote several popular songs meanwhile their career, and these melodies were number one tracks on Irish and British top lists. The reason of their tour in 2013 is their 20th anniversary. They will appearance in Ireland and Great Britain too. Fans could except for fantastic concerts, doesn’t matter where they listen one of the pearls of the 90s.

Of course the capital of Northern Ireland, Belfast couldn’t missed from the list of the stations. The boys’ concert will be in the Odyssey Arena in Belfast, on 29 November 2013. The arena opened its gate in 2000 and its capacity is 11,000 people.

Who is he? The bad guy of high school, the only three-time inductee musician to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame , the „slowhand” guitarist. An English gentleman, who doesn’t care the age, and starts a world wide concert tour, to show the world, what is the spirit of 60s.

Eric Clapton is on the musical orbit a long time ago. He was born in The Great Britain, in 1945. His life isn’t average from the start. His mother has given his life when she was only 16, and he have never known his father, who has left him before Eric’s birth. He believed, his grandparents are his parents, and his mother is his sister. He was nine years old, when his real mother got married and moved to Canada. Clapton found out the truth at this time about his birth. These things had very big influence to Eric’s whole life.

He was 13 years old, when he got his first acoustic guitar. After that he was concerned seriously with blues. He played in the Yardbirds between 1963 and 1965, in the John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers between 1965 and 1966, and he has started play in the Cream in 1966, but unfortunately, the band has broke up in 1968. Clapton played in countless bands before his solo career. He is one of the best guitar player nowadays too. Most of the present bands just can’t fight against his music.
